Leah has been practising and teaching yoga for many years, after training in India she decided to set up her yoga teaching business in her home county of Devon where she lives with her dogs and boyfriend.
Leah’s style is organic, natural hatha and mindful flow yoga. When asking Leah about what kind of photography she said she wanted a natural syle, outdoors in the countryside. After taking a few of Leah’s classes and really getting to know her style of teaching and her classes, this gave me a real insight into how I should photograph her.
The Brief
Natural photographs taken in the countryside surrounded by beautiful Dartmoor. Leah hikes across the moors frequently so this seemed like the perfect place to capture moments of her in beautiful yoga poses. The poses she wanted photographed were to look strong with uninhibited power and prowess.
Leah wanted both black and white and colour images.
Her love of black and white photography relates to her artistic nature and love of fine art photography.
